Mementos Reception

Mementos Exhibition

We will kick off the Jubilee on Friday, September 11, 5 - 7 p.m. with a public reception for Mementos, an exhibition in the Tamarind Gallery showcasing memorabilia from the Marge/Bill/Rodney era. Through December 18, 2015 Tamarind’s gallery becomes the Smithsonian of lithography. Compose your Tamarind story, seated at June Wayne’s desk, to include on the memory board; view artist guest book entries spanning 30+ years; arrange the Exquisite Corpse, prints drawn by visiting artists during the past ten years; enjoy historical photographs, and lots more fun stuff related to Tamarind’s history.

Win/Win Art Lottery

Win/Win 2015

On Saturday, September 12, from 4 - 6 p.m., the Tamarind National Advisory Board will host the third Win/Win Art Lottery! As in previous years, we will sell 100 tickets, and those who participate will choose a work, in the order of a random number received upon entry. The 100 lots will be online for everyone to browse. We are in the process of collecting the artwork, and you can watch it grow as we add donations to the site. Click here to see the entries: WIN/WIN 2015. The event will again be at the Richard Levy Gallery in downtown Albuquerque.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $300, which includes entrance for two and one lottery ticket.

Prints Charming Ball

Dig out those glass slippers, resurrect that suit coat, and hide from your evil step-mother! Tamarind will host the Prints Charming Ball on Saturday evening starting at 8 p.m. This is the time to celebrate 55 years of Tamarind history, and the many contributions that Marge, Bill, and Rodney have made to lithography and the institution. The ball will take place at the magical Las Puertas, a large warehouse with a gorgeous dance floor, north of Albuquerque’s downtown! It will be a joyous night of reminiscing, fellowship, entertainment, and dancing, with a cash bar and sweets.

Breakfast of Champions

The weekend would not be complete without a chance to spend some time with Garo Antreasian. Come enjoy a light continental breakfast, and historical musing with Tamarind’s first technical director, Garo Antreasian. Tentatively planned for 11 a.m. on Sunday, this event will be free and open to the public.
